Our advisory board consists of seasoned veterans and Silicon Valley executives familiar with the consumer marketplace and semiconductor space.

David Chen - CEO and co-founder


With nearly 20 years of work experience in the Silicon Valley, David has held senior management positions at both publicly traded and privately held companies. With a background in power system engineering and applications, David’s technical core and his extensive client-side experience allow him to focus on customers and deliver the solutions they want.

At Akros, David was the VP of Applications. As part of the executive team, he promoted Akros' products and technology to customers and investors while working closely with global distributors and reps.

At Volterra (acquired by Maxim in 2013), David was the Sr. Director of Worldwide Applications. In his ten years there including the company’s IPO in 2004, he helped to grow the company from less than twenty people and zero annual revenue to almost two hundred people and $100M in revenue.

David received both his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and is the author of two patents.

Eugene Cheung - Vice President, Engineering and co-founder

Eugene has more than 17 years of analog and mixed-signal integrated circuit design and management experience. His designs span from power electronics, including LED drivers, CPU voltage regulators, and battery chargers, to high-speed communications chips.

His professional experience includes working at Hewlett-Packard and Linear Technology as well as Volterra (acquired by Maxim) and two smaller start-ups.

He received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Brown University and M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. Eugene has authored 4 patents, including 3 patents directly related to LED driver technology.

Chris Korte - Vice President, Operations

With nearly 20 years of experience, Chris is in charge of test development, product engineering, quality and reliability, foundry operations, and assembly engineering activities.

A Chico native, he received his B.A. degree in Physics from University of California, Santa Cruz and M.A. degree in Physics from University of California, Santa Barbara.

After working at Hewlett-Packard for five years, he worked at Volterra (acquired by Maxim) for one year, and Marvell Semiconductor for ten years.  Now with Jade Sky Technologies, he is scaling up operations to meet the challenge of business growth.

Rebecca Liao - CFO


Rebecca is a seasoned financial executive and active CPA with eighteen years of diverse finance, accounting, legal, HR, and operational experience ranging from start-ups to public companies. Experienced in a broad range of industries including semiconductor, software, SAAS, digital advertising, internet merchandising, retail, and clean technology, her passion is to grow businesses to their full potential.

Her past positions include Corporate Controller at publicly traded companies such as McAfee.com and CafePress.com and venture-backed start-ups such as Turn, Panasas, Xora, and StockMaster.com. She started her career at Deloitte as an auditor after she received her M.S. degree in Accounting from Bentley College and B.A. in Economics from Wellesley College.

Xin Liu – Vice President of Sales

Xin has over 20 years of sales and business development experience in the semiconductor industry. Before joining Jade Sky Technologies, Xin was the Vice President of Gateway Development Group (GDG), a consulting company specializing in services for US, European, and Chinese high-tech startup companies entering the China/Asia and US market.

Prior to GDG, Xin served as Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Asia/Japan at MEMSIC Inc., shepherding MEMSIC's phenomenal growth to the company's successful NASDAQ IPO in 2007. Xin has also held management positions at Texas Instruments and NationalSemiconductor in China.

Xin received both his BSEE & MSEE from Tsinghua University in China and his Masters Degree of Engineering Management from Tufts University.

Aaron Schultz - Director, System Engineering

With experience in power electronics at Volterra (acquired by Maxim) and MiaSolé, and high-speed communications and other digital systems at Hewlett-Packard, Quake, and Inphi, Aaron brings a combination of broad and deep engineering capabilities to Jade Sky Technologies.

Aaron's industry background spans over 18 years and includes work in multiple aspects of innovative product development and market penetration.

He received a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from MIT. Aaron has authored 15 patents.
