Lee Stoian - Chairman of the Board
A well-recognized executive and technologist, Lee Stoian has over 40 years of diversified business, management and engineering experience in high-tech start-up companies, as well as large corporations. Mr. Stoian is General Partner of Phoenix Business Partners, a transition management consulting service firm.
Mr. Stoian is Chairman of the Board and Director of the Board of several select privately held companies. He has chaired all major board committees at private companies.
He has served as Interim CEO of EmmVault Inc., a start-up focused on security solutions for mobile devices, Green Point Technologies, Inc., a clean technology start-up focused on energy-efficient control solutions for the lighting industry, Akros Silicon, Inc., a power management start-up, Ozmo Devices, Inc., a fabless semiconductor start-up focused on the wireless PAN market, and Axiom Microdevices, Inc., a fabless semiconductor start-up focused on the cellular telephony market. Prior to this, he served as President and CEO of BitBlitz Communications, Inc. From July 2000 to April 2003, he served as Vice President of Engineering for Intersil Corporation. From March 1997 to July 2000, Mr. Stoian served as President and CEO of SiPCore, Inc., a mixed-signal intellectual property solutions provider. Prior to this, Mr. Stoian held various executive, senior technical management and senior technical positions at Arithmos Inc., National Semiconductor Corporation, and Motorola Inc.
Mr. Stoian holds an M.S.E.E. degree from the Polytechnic Institute of Bucharest, Romania, and is a graduate of the Executive Marketing Program for Technology-Based Businesses from the University of Western Ontario, Canada.
Nelson C. Chan - Board Advisor
Mr. Chan is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Outerwall, the public company that is behind the well-known Redbox movie and video game rental kiosks and popular Coinstar coin-counting kiosks, it is pushing the walls of retail way out, into a new dimension – building businesses that make life simpler and better for consumers and retailers; Lead Independent Director of Synaptics, a public company that is a leading worldwide developer and supplier of custom-designed human interface solutions that enable people to interact more easily and intuitively with a wide variety of mobile computing, communications, entertainment, and other electronic devices; and a member of the Board of Directors of Affymetrix, a public company that is a leader in the rapidly growing genetic analysis market with the mission to revolutionize how the world benefits from genetic information. Mr. Chan is or has chaired all major board committees at public and private companies. Mr. Chan is also Chairman of the Board or a Director of several select privately held companies.
Mr. Chan served as Chief Executive Officer of Magellan, a leader in consumer, survey, GIS and OEM GPS navigation and positioning markets, from 2006 to 2008. From 1992 through 2006, Mr. Chan served in various senior management positions with SanDisk Corporation, the worlds’ largest supplier of flash branded data storage products, including Vice President of Global Marketing, Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing and most recently as Executive Vice President and General Manager, Consumer Business. From 1983 to 1992, Mr. Chan held marketing and engineering positions at Chips and Technologies, Signetics, and Delco Electronics.
Mr. Chan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of California at Santa Barbara and a Masters of Business Administration degree from Santa Clara University.
Allan Hamilton - Board Advisor
A veteran of Silicon Valley, Mr. Hamilton has lived in the San Jose area for over 25 years. Previously, as a co-founder, President and CEO of Calibre Inc., Mr. Hamilton was instrumental in founding, funding, and completing a merger with ZiLOG. Prior to Calibre, at TEMIC he established a $50 million IR component business. Mr. Hamilton has also held senior positions in sales and marketing at Crystal Semiconductor, Chips & Technologies and Intel.
A graduate of the University of Toronto with BASc and MASc degrees, Mr. Hamilton holds 9 U.S. patents.
Through Gateway Development Group, he currently works to develop Asian channels for a number of emerging high technology hardware, software, and IP companies.
